Dear Reader,

Gathered within this issue are poems that speak of change—change in people, in place, and in memory. As we evolve, we find ourselves continually returning to the past, attempting to understand who we are now through our history. The pieces in this issue grapple with this question in a number of ways: a place bears witness to a changing society, a work of art from the past speaks to a present life, and a child’s growth highlights ongoing dangers.

Change acts as a method of frantic self discovery; a story of what we keep and what we leave behind.
