Dear Reader,

Sometimes, the body is not an easy thing to discuss, but often, the body and its relationship to history are impossible to ignore. So many of the pieces in this issue attempt to understand the self and the world through the body. In one poem, the speaker explores the ways in which the body is perceived by the self and others. In another, the lifeless body of a deer is used to explore the gendered dynamics of death. As a whole, the pieces gathered in this issue explore the ways we move through a world in which each body carries its own set of ghosts.
